Description

Silicone Remover is a silicone solvent formulation used to remove silicone from all types of glass, metal, tile, wood or masonry surfaces.  However, it is also widely used in prepping the surfaces of new works prior to sealing.

Silicone sealants are widely used to seal joints and abutting surfaces. It is highly effective, inexpensive and easy to apply. However, when the seal does eventually breakdown, or become discoloured as is frequently the case in bathrooms, then it will need to be replaced.

Using a sharp metal blade, cut the silicone sealant as close to the substrate as possible. Take care not to damage the surfaces. You can then use a flat chisel to remove the bulk of the remaining sealant. Hard rubbing with a clean cloth can peel the remaining silicone away from high gloss surfaces like glass and tiles.

Once you are satisfied that you have removed as much sealant through mechanical means as possible, it is time to use a silicone solvent. Silicone Remover will easily remove any remaining silicone and prepare the surface for the new sealant.

Ideal for:
  • Glass
  • Metal
  • Tiles
  • Wood
  • Masonry
  • Ceramics
  • Porcelain
  • Grouts
