Non-PDCB Deodorant Blocks offer an alternative urinal maintenance system consisting of tablets of compressed per-oxy salts with an attractive fragrance. Stable fragrances create the necessary background odour to signify amenity blocks are kept in a fresh and clean condition.
Non-PDCB Deodorant Blocks slowly dissolve in the urinal, releasing an active solution of hydrogen peroxide, a well-known bleaching, deodorising and sanitising agent that chemically neutralises and removes odour-causing deposits. No other chemical is needed. To clean the urinal, simply flush to ensure round-the-clock protection. Surfaces will remain shiny and are less likely to mark. Old stains will disappear and uric acid build up will gradually disperse and disappear.
It is recommended that you periodically brush some fresh solution onto non-contact surfaces around the urinal, as these areas can also be a source of odour.
Non-PDCB Deodorant Blocks are based upon a formulated per-oxy salt blend with well established chemistry that breaks down to the elements oxygen, sodium and boron. This means the product has no BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand), and in fact assists the lowering of BOD of waste water by supplying excess dissolved oxygen.
Directions for use
- Place a block at the end of the urinal trough furthest from the drain.
- Place additional blocks along the urinal trough at a rate of one block per metre.
- Do not place all the blocks around the drain only as this means the extremities of the urinal will not be cleaned.
- Replace blocks as required.
Note: The dissolving properties of the blocks are affected by water hardness, water flush flow rates and climatic conditions such as heat and humidity.
