Description

Marine Acid Wash is an advanced triple action formula, with phosphorylated ethoxylate, for better hull cleaning results with lower acidity than other popular cleaners.

It is ideal for removing slime, cleaning fibreglass hulls and for preparing surfaces for anti-fouling treatment.

Triple action:
  1. Excellent for renewal of fibreglass that is faded or stained from rust, exhaust fumes, environmental contamination etc.
  2. Ideal for removal of slime from hulls, anti-fouling and running gear.
  3. When used on anti-fouling, Marine Acid Wash etches the previous anti-fouling to provide a surface that binds to the new anti-fouling, ensuring better adhesion and longer life.

Directions for use

Dilution:

  • Fibreglass renewal: 1 part to up to 6 parts water.
  • Removal of slime and renewal of anti-fouling: 1 part to 10 parts water.

Renewal of fibreglass:

  1. Remove any loose contamination.
  2. Broom onto the hull or deck.
  3. Allow to dwell for 2 to 3 minutes. Do not allow to dry.
  4. Thoroughly rinse. Preferably use a pressure washer.
  5. For stubborn rust staining around metal fittings, detail with an abrasive pad.

Removal of slime and antifouling:

  1. Broom onto the hull.
  2. Allow to dwell for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Thoroughly rinse. Preferably use a pressure washer.
  4. Re-apply, once slime and other contaminants are removed, to etch the surface before applying anti-fouling.

Note: Avoid contact with stainless steel, aluminium, polished chrome and painted surfaces.
