Hi Surf is a medium-strength potassium hydroxide-based detergent specially formulated for in-place cleaning (CIP) of stainless steel plant and equipment in the dairy and processed food industries. It is ideal for cleaning margarine blenders and other plant where a moderate amount of foam is beneficial.
 
Hi Surf is a low-foaming high-caustic solution which should be automatically dispensed into food plant CIP systems via conductivity or volumetric control. Low foam surfactants and sequestrants ensure an efficient clean and residue-free rinsing. Due to the higher level of wetting agents in this formulation, it provides superior cleaning in high oil and fat environments.

Directions for use

Concentration can vary from 0.5% to 3.0% depending on the level of soiling, temperature and duration.
 
General food residue and build-up:
Duration: 15 to 30 minutes.
Temperature: 60°C to 80°C.
 
For heat-treated food residue and build-up:
Duration: 30 to 60 minutes.
Temperature: 5°C above standard processing temperature.
 
Note: Test your residue and build-up with various combinations of duration, temperature and product concentrations to determine the right combination for your plant.
